Apple Inc., an American Multinational Corporation, was founded on April fool’s Day in 1976. Apple I, the first computer kit was launched at the Homebrew Computer Club, by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs and later guided by Mike Markkula. Apple blazed the trails for the pc industry.
Apple Computer, Inc.: - Apple designs, manufactures and markets personal computers and related software products, peripherals and networking solutions. The Company also designs and develops a line of portable digital music players along with related accessories and services, including the online distribution of third-party music, audio books, music videos, short films and television shows. Apple introduced the revolutionary Macintosh (commonly called as the "Mac"), was the first successful commercial implementation of a GUI. Similar GUIs are now used in all major computer operating systems from Windows XP to Unix-like systems using GUIs based on the X Window System such as CDE, KDE, and GNOME.
Apple's products and services include the Macintosh line of desktop and notebook computers, the iPod digital music player, the Xserve G5 server and Xserve Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID) storage products, the Mac OS X operating system (OS), the iTunes Music Store. And a portfolio of peripherals that support and enhance the Macintosh and iPod product lines, along with a variety of other services and support offerings. It sells its products worldwide through its online stores, own retail stores, direct sales force, and third-party wholesalers, resellers and value-added resellers.
Apple is currently well-known as a manufacturer of innovative, attractively-designed computer hardware and software. Notable Apple hardware products include the iMac and iPod. Apple is also the publisher of the iTunes music application and store, as well as the company's current computer operating system; Mac OS X. Apple is currently in the process of introducing the applications with new technology concepts such as the iPhone, Apple TV and many features of its new, upcoming operating system, Mac OS X “Leopard”.

Macbook : The Macbook is the latest in consumer Macintosh laptop computers developed and marketed by Apple Computers. The Macbook was introduced on May 16th 2006. The Macbook replaces the iBook G4 series as well as the last of the PowerBook series, the 12-inch PowerBook G4. The Macbook is based on the Intel Core Duo processor technology and this is available in three different configurations: 1.83 GHz and 2.0 GHz with a white polycarbonate enclosure, and a 2.0 GHz model in a matte black case. Every model encompasses an in-built iSight webcam, and a magnetic latch mechanism.
Macbook pro : The first Intel-powered portable from Apple, is the Macbook pro. Breaking from its long-standing PowerBook and iBook labels, Apple has created a whole new brand to applaud its first Intel-based portable. As expected, the new portable is powered by an Intel Core Duo processor at either 1.67 or 1.83GHz, 512MB - 2GB RAM, built-in iSight, FrontRow FireWire 400, two USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard/34, MagSafe power, 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0 , Gigabit Ethernet, Backlit keyboard and remote input. It has 15.4-inch 1440 x 900 color display, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with either 128 or 256MB of RAM and dual-link DVI, with an 80GB or 100GB drive and dual-layer DVD burner. It weighs 5.6 pounds and operates even on the Windows platform.
iBook : The iBook was a new genre of laptop computers introduced by Apple Computer in 1999. It was mainly targeted towards the consumer and educational markets, with lower prices than that of PowerBook. It was less expandable and had less number of ports than the PowerBook and MacBook Pro lines. The last generation of iBooks included two types, A 12-inch model and a 14-inch model, with higher specifications for the latter, these were few of the modifications which took place in MacBook and unveiled in May 2006.
iBook G3 : The new iBookG3 has been the topic of great speculation for the past month or so. The orange, green, gray and blue colors are past, now the new white iBook is in. Here the curves of the new iBook have been replaced with the rounded edges. The multiple speeds have been reduced and the new iBook runs flat at 500 MHz, regardless of the configurations.
iBook G4 : The iBook G4 was developed by the Apple Computer Corporation in the year 2003. This genre of laptops consisted of PowerPC G4 chip, slot-loading optical drives and a solid white keyboard, added on 23rd October, 2003-finally ending Apple’s use of the G3 chip. This model was available until the 16 May, 2006, when the announcement of the MacBook eliminated both the iBook G4 and the 12-inch PowerBook G4.
Powerbook G4 : The Apple Powebook G4 is a series of notebook computers manufactured by Apple Computers. It was powered by the PowerPC G4 processor hence named as "G4", initially produced by the companies like Motorola and later by Freescale, a Motorola spin-off. The PowerBook G4 had two different designs enclosed in a titanium body with a black keyboard and a 15" screen, and the other in an aluminum body with an aluminum-colored keyboard in 12", 15" and 17" sizes.
